SUMMARY:Theories of Play Therapy
DESCRIPTION:Description\nJoin us to develop a strong theoretical foundation
  in play therapy by exploring the seminal and historically significant theo
 ries that continue to shape our Play Therapy practice. This comprehensive t
 raining provides an in-depth overview of the major theories of Play Therapy
 \, highlighting the unique contributions of each model and their applicatio
 n in therapeutic work with children\, teens and families.\nParticipants wil
 l examine the key contributors\, foundational constructs and tenets\, thera
 peutic processes\, goals and objectives\, the role of the Play Therapist\, 
 and the role of primary caregivers within each theoretical orientation. Thr
 ough discussion and clinical application\, attendees will gain a deeper und
 erstanding of how different theoretical perspectives conceptualize children
 's emotional and behavioral needs and guide the therapeutic relationship in
  Play Therapy.\nThe training will explore the following approaches:\n\nChil
 d-Centered Play Therapy\nObject Relations/Attachment-Based Play Therapy\nAd
 lerian Play Therapy\nJungian Analytical Play Therapy\nPsychodynamic Play Th
 erapy\nCognitive Behavioral Play Therapy\n\nWhether you are building your t
 heoretical foundation or expanding your clinical perspective\, this trainin
 g will enhance your ability to thoughtfully select and integrate Play Thera
 py approaches that best meet the developmental and relational needs of the 
 children and families you work with.\nObjectives\n\nIdentify the key contri
 butors\, foundational constructs\, and core tenets of at least six seminal 
 and historically significant theories of Play Therapy.\nCompare and contras
 t the therapeutic process\, goals\, objectives\, and the roles of the Play 
 Therapist and primary caregivers across Child-Centered\, Object Relations/A
 ttachment-Based\, Adlerian\, Jungian Analytical\, Psychodynamic\, and Cogni
 tive Behavioral Play Therapy approaches.\nDescribe how each Play Therapy th
 eoretical orientation conceptualizes children's emotional\, behavioral\, an
 d relational functioning within the Play Therapy process.\nApply Play thera
 py theoretical knowledge to clinical decision-making by selecting an approp
 riate Play Therapy approach based on a child's presenting concerns\, develo
 pmental needs\, and family context.\n\nAll trainings require at least a Mas
 ter’s Degree in a Counseling\, Marriage and Family Therapy\, Social Work 
 or related field\, and completion of EMDR Basic Training (for EMDRIA Approv
 ed Advanced Workshops).  Graduate Students may enroll in the training\, an
 d understand that continued education credit cannot be provided to individu
 als who do not hold proper credentials.  \nPlay Therapy credit is availab
 le to licensed mental health professionals and graduate students in a menta
 l health program. \nThriveBright Professional Trainings only assumes the r
 esponsibility for the registration part of the event.  All other costs are
  the responsibility of the registrant\, unless otherwise stated.\nThis work
 shop and presenter have no conflict of interest in this workshop\, nor is t
 here any commercial or financial support\, or any affiliate agreements.\nAt
 tendees must attend the training in its entirety\, with camera on (for live
  webinar attendance)\, complete the training evaluation and a post-test (fo
 r live webinar attendance) to be eligible for the CE Certificate. Certifica
 tes of attendance will be emailed within 7 business days of the completion 
 of the training and receipt of the evaluation and a passing score on the po

 included in your registration fee for each event.\nCancellation requests mu

  days prior to the date of the event. \nCancellations received at least se
 ven days prior to the event will receive a refund\, less the $40.00 adminis
 trative fee.  Cancellations received within seven days\, no shows\, or req
 uests after the event will not receive a refund or credit toward future eve
 nts.  \nThriveBright Professional Trainings receives the right to cancel 
 any training\, workshops or courses that receive fewer than five (5) regist
 rants within two weeks of the scheduled event and may be rescheduled to a l
 ater date.  Those who are registered will be notified of the cancellation 
 and rescheduling in a timely manner and will be offered either a refund or 
 a credit toward a future training\, workshop or course.  If ThriveBright P
 rofessional Trainings cancels the training\, workshop or course for any oth
 er reason\, you will receive a full refund\, or credit toward a future even
 t (including administrative fee).\nNo partial credit will be given for any 
 training\, workshop or course.  You must attend the event in its entirety 
 to receive continued education credits.  For live webinars\, you must have
  your camera on at all times to receive credit for attendance.  \nNo exce
