Or\, are you simply in need a refresher on the basics of Play Therapy? Either way\, come join us for a three-hour workshop discussin g the foundational elements of Child-Centered Play Therapy (CCPT). CCPT is one of the seminal theories of Play Therapy developed and studied and devel oped by Virginia Axeline and Garry Landreth. This workshop with teach you t he basics of being with a child in the playroom\, reflecting\, and expandin g the meaning of the Play Therapy process in order to create growth and hea ling.\nObjectives:\n\n Participants will be able to identify the major play ers in the history of Child Centered Play Therapy.\n Participants will be a ble to identify toys and materials used in a Child Centered Play Therapy pl ayroom and discuss set up procedures.\n Participants will be able to identi fy at least three different Child Centered Play Therapy skills that are nee ded during session\n Participants will be able to identify three things to talk with parents about concerning Child Centered Play Therapy treatment.\n Participants will be able to identify why therapeutic limits are needed an d how to set them in Play Therapy sessions.\n Participants will be able to identify the eight core beliefs of Child Centered Play Therapy.\n\nAgenda:\ nPlayful Check In 9:00am-9:05am\nTraining Content 9:05am-10:30\n10 min brea k 10:30am-10:40am\nTraining Content 10:40am-11:55am\nTraining Completion 11 :55am-12:00pm\nAll trainings require at least a Master’s Degree in a Coun seling\, Marriage and Family Therapy\, Social Work or related field\, and c ompletion of EMDR Basic Training (for EMDRIA Approved Advanced Workshops).   Graduate Students may enroll in the training\, and understand that conti nued education credit cannot be provided to individuals who do not hold pro per credentials.  \nPlay Therapy credit is available to licensed mental h ealth professionals and graduate students in a mental health program. \nTh riveBright Professional Trainings only assumes the responsibility for the r egistration part of the event.  All other costs are the responsibility of the registrant\, unless otherwise stated.\nThis workshop and presenter have no conflict of interest in this workshop\, nor is there any commercial or financial support\, or any affiliate agreements.\nAttendees must attend the training in its entirety\, with camera on (for live webinar attendance)\, complete the training evaluation and a post-test (for live webinar attendan ce) to be eligible for the CE Certificate.
