SUMMARY:Ethics in Play Therapy
DESCRIPTION:Description:\nUnderstanding the role of the Play Therapist\, an
 d the importance of documenting Play Therapy as an evidence based treatment
 \, is a critical part in the therapeutic process.  This includes establish
 ing treatment goals\, obtaining informed consent\, working with parents and
  establishing cultural competency in the relationship. Dive into how to est
 ablish a sound therapeutic approach when working with kids and their parent
 s or primary caregivers\, and the importance of documenting what happens th
 roughout the Play Therapy process.\nObjectives:\n\nDemonstrate at least 3 t
 reatment planning skills for play therapy specific goal-setting\nIdentify a
 nd process 3 ethical considerations for play therapy documentation\nExplain
  informed consent in Play Therapy and the Role of the Play Therapist\nDiscu
 ss at least 3 important concepts about Cultural Competency in Play Therapy\
 n\nAll trainings require at least a Master’s Degree in a Counseling\, Mar
 riage and Family Therapy\, Social Work or related field\, and completion of
  EMDR Basic Training (for EMDRIA Approved Advanced Workshops).  Graduate S
 tudents may enroll in the training\, and understand that continued educatio
 n credit cannot be provided to individuals who do not hold proper credentia

  mental health professionals and graduate students in a mental health progr

 nter have no conflict of interest in this workshop\, nor is there any comme

 ttend the training in its entirety\, with camera on (for live webinar atten
 dance)\, complete the training evaluation and a post-test (for live webinar
  attendance) to be eligible for the CE Certificate. Certificates of attenda
 nce will be emailed within 7 business days of the completion of the trainin
 g and receipt of the evaluation and a passing score on the post-test (80% o
 r higher)\, if applicable.\nWorkshop Cancellation and Refund Policy\nNon-Re
 fundable Fees:  $40.00 Administrative Fee is included in your registration
  fee for each event.\nCancellation requests must be made in writing\, and p
 ostmarked (or emailed) no later than seven (7) days prior to the date of th
 e event. \nCancellations received at least seven days prior to the event w
 ill receive a refund\, less the $40.00 administrative fee.  Cancellations 
 received within seven days\, no shows\, or requests after the event will no
 t receive a refund or credit toward future events.  \nThriveBright Profes
 sional Trainings receives the right to cancel any training\, workshops or c
 ourses that receive fewer than five (5) registrants within two weeks of the
  scheduled event and may be rescheduled to a later date.  Those who are re
 gistered will be notified of the cancellation and rescheduling in a timely 
 manner and will be offered either a refund or a credit toward a future trai
 ning\, workshop or course.  If ThriveBright Professional Trainings cancels
  the training\, workshop or course for any other reason\, you will receive 
 a full refund\, or credit toward a future event (including administrative f
 ee).\nNo partial credit will be given for any training\, workshop or course
 .  You must attend the event in its entirety to receive continued educatio
 n credits.  For live webinars\, you must have your camera on at all times 
 to receive credit for attendance.  \nNo exceptions will be made to the ca
