Creative Pathways for Play Therapy Supervision
Friday, November 7, 2025 9:00 am – 12:00 pm CST
Play Therapy supervision is critical to the overall development of competent Play Therapists. Step into this training to uncover creative ways to engage and lead your supervisees in developing competency as a Play Therapist, and develop a supervisory relationship that leads to mirroring in the child-therapist relationship. This training is for those already providing Play Therapy supervision and need continuing education credits, or those who are on their way to being a Registered Play Therapist-Supevisor™. This training provides creative activities to promote supervisory reflection, supervisee development and the facilitation of the child-therapist relationship and supportive collaboration with the parents/caregivers. This workshop highlights the ethical issues most common in Play Therapy Supervision, understanding developmental responsiveness and using supervision as a gatekeeper for our profession. Attendees receive documents to evaluate Play Therapy competencies, supervisee’s conceptualization and utilization of the Therapeutic Powers of Play, as well as video evaluation.
